Luigi Archetti (Zürich) and Bo Wiget (Berlin) have been working together continuously in diverse projects since 1994. The duo began as an electro-acoustic co-composition-project in 1998. They have been giving concerts together since 2000 and shortly there after their first record Low Tide Digitals appeared on the Norwegian label rune grammofon. By 2009 they followed up with two records named Low Tide Digitals II & III as the only non-scandinavian production on the same label. 2019/20 the new LP/CD with the title WELTFORMAT is released on the Italian label Die Schachtel.
Luigi Archetti and Bo Wiget not only use their instruments in traditional ways but also as sound sources for live-electronic manipulations. The borders between sound and noise, between electronic and acoustical instrumental sounds are blurred. Their painted sounds are similar to multi layered sonic architectual structures. The musical inflluences are derived from classic modern music, electronic music, pop and rock. Mixed into the improvisational parts are conceptual compositions by the duo.
Archetti and Wiget have been busy working with diverse video- and performance projects since 2003. Their short films “I have seen you dancing better than this” and “Bestes Deutsches Musikvideo (“Best German Music Video”) were honored at the Kurzfilmfestival Oberhausen 2007 and 2008. Each film was awarded the second prize in the category music video. Performances in festivals and concert tours have led the duo throughout Europe and to Japan.
Luigi Archetti and Bo Wiget often use their instruments as a sound source for live electronic manipulations and utilise their conventional sound and playing techniques very sparingly and purposefully. The boundary between sound and noise, between electronic and acoustic instrumental sound is blurred. The sound images resemble multi-layered sonic architectures.

Luigi Archetti (Zürich) und Bo Wiget (Berlin) arbeiten seit 1994 kontinuierlich in verschiedenen Projekten zusammen. Das Duo begann 1998 als elektro-akustisches Co-Kompositionsprojekt. Seit 2000 geben sie gemeinsam Konzerte und kurz darauf erschien ihre erste Platte Low Tide Digitals auf dem norwegischen Label rune grammofon. Bis 2009 folgten zwei Platten namens Low Tide Digitals II & III als einzige nicht-skandinavische Produktion auf demselben Label. 2019/20 wird die neue LP/CD mit dem Titel WELTFORMAT auf dem italienischen Label Die Schachtel veröffentlicht.
Luigi Archetti und Bo Wiget nutzen ihre Instrumente nicht nur auf traditionelle Weise, sondern auch als Klangquellen für live-elektronische Manipulationen. Die Grenzen zwischen Klang und Geräusch, zwischen elektronischen und akustischen Instrumentalklängen sind fließend. Ihre gemalten Klänge ähneln vielschichtigen architektonischen Klangstrukturen. Die musikalischen Einflüsse stammen aus der klassischen Moderne, der elektronischen Musik, Pop und Rock. In die improvisierten Teile mischen sich konzeptionelle Kompositionen des Duos.
Archetti und Wiget sind seit 2003 mit diversen Video- und Performance-Projekten beschäftigt. Ihre Kurzfilme "I have seen you dancing better than this" und "Bestes Deutsches Musikvideo" wurden auf dem Kurzfilmfestival Oberhausen 2007 und 2008 ausgezeichnet. Die Filme wurden jeweils mit dem zweiten Preis in der Kategorie Musikvideo ausgezeichnet. Auftritte bei Festivals und Konzertreisen führten das Duo durch ganz Europa und nach Japan.
Luigi Archetti und Bo Wiget setzen ihre Instrumente häufig als Klangquelle für elektronische Live-Manipulationen und setzen ihre konventionellen Klang- und Spieltechniken sehr sparsam und gezielt ein. Die Grenze zwischen Klang und Geräusch, zwischen elektronischem und akustischem Instrumentalklang wird verwischt. Die Klangbilder ähneln vielschichtigen klanglichen Architekturen.
